Why Carbon?
Carbon fibers are synthetic polymeric fibers that are heated to a high degree until they are carbonized (char). The result is a black, very light and strong fiber with a tensile strength about four times higher than the best steel alloys at only a quarter of the weight. Another advantage is its resistance to high temperature.
